Locanda di Orsaria is strategically positioned and very easy to reach. The hotel is just a few metres from Santa Lucia train station, ten minutes from the historic centre
and 25 minutes from Piazza San Marco.
BY TRAIN AND BY TAXI
From the Train Station and Piazzale Roma
Travelling by train?
Turn left out of the station, walk past Chiesa degli Scalzi and take the first calle on the left (Calle Priuli ai Cavalletti).
After 100 metres you’ll find the entrance to Locanda di Orsaria on your right! You’ll be with us in a matter of minutes.
Coming by taxi?
Taxis can go as far as Piazzale Roma, after which Venice is a pedestrian area. Having alighted from your taxi, cross Ponte della Costituzione, also known as Ponte di Calatrava, and go straight on until you get to Chiesa degli Scalzi, straight after the train station. After the church stay on the left side of the street and turn into Calle Priuli ai Cavalletti: after a few minutes you’ll find the entrance to the hotel on your right.
Taxi (boat): the easiest and quickest way to get to the hotel. Motorboats dock close to the entrance of Hotel Venice Maggior Consiglio, adjacent to Locanda di Orsaria.
BY CAR
From the carparks of Piazzale Roma and Tronchetto
To get to the hotel, head to the ferry stop and take vaporetto no.1, alighting at the first stop, Ferrovia (train station). Ask if you also have to pay for your luggage. In Piazzale Roma there are two carparks: Garage Comunale and Garage San Marco. Guests of Hotel Venice Maggior Consiglio and Locanda di Orsaria are entitled to an exclusive discount at this carpark. Ask for your coupon at reception.
Tronchetto island carpark
If you park in Tronchetto, to get to the hotel take vaporetto no.2 and get off after two stops, at Ferrovia (train station).
BY PLANE
From Marco Polo Airport
By coach: Coaches go as far as Piazzale Roma. The service is provided by ATVO and tickets can also be purchased on board.
The coach takes about 20 minutes to get to Piazzale Roma, after which you can catch vaporetto no.1 and alight at Ferrovia (train station) at the first stop.
By bus (Line 5): This service is provided by ACTV and connects the airport with Piazzale Roma. The journey time is about 25 minutes.
Once you get to Piazzale Roma you can take vaporetto no.1, alighting at Ferrovia (train station) at the first stop.
